I will be joined by guests The Matador & Steady D. The Matador
has been selecting in
clubs for years for his
respected soundsytem 'The
Rockers Unique' since
the 70's in North London.
Gary's family have a musical
history too! His father
was a collector/selector
himself and passed on
his tunes to 'The Matador'.
His older brother was
co-owner of the Q-club
and owned a Rocksteady
club of his own. His family
was also born into the
music. Soul singers such
as Edwin Starr and Major
Lance were friends of
the family. Gary also
supplied records to the
BBC which featured in
a documentary called 'History
of Reggae! The Matador
is a regular at 'On the
Rocks'. 'The Matador'
quotes in saying that
" 'Coast to Coast'
is the best club of it's
kind, which is down to
DJ Cello selecting and
musical formula of classic
and rare tunes of the
highest quality"
and he goes on to say
" ' Coast to Coast
and it's atmosphere is
a throw back to what clubs
were like back in the
day". Tonight 'The
Matador' with his deep
musical knowledge and
experience and finest
collection come's to play
at Coast to Coast and with the brilliant MC Steady D, this
